We’re excited to have Sam Hendel back with us for a second time. Since her last visit, Sam has embarked on some incredible new ventures, and we’re eager to dive into her journey.

In this episode, Sam shares the inspiring story behind the founding of the Good Grief Running Club. After losing her mother to cancer in 2022, Sam turned to running as a way to cope with her grief. What began as a personal outlet soon grew into a supportive community for others experiencing similar losses.

Sam discusses how running became a crucial tool for her mental health, helping her navigate through one of the most challenging periods of her life. She also explains the mission of the Good Grief Running Club: to help people find positivity in grief through movement and connection. The club has quickly gained momentum, bringing together a diverse group of individuals who support one another and share their stories.

We also touch on the logistics of the club, which meets every Monday at 7 a.m. at Noble Joe Coffee Shop in Austin. With different mile options and pace groups, the club is welcoming to beginners and provides a supportive environment for all participants.

Join us as we explore the emotional and empowering story behind the Good Grief Running Club, and discover how Sam is making a meaningful impact on the Austin community and beyond.
